Founded in 1923 in Takoma Park, MD as "The Takoma Mandoleers" and Rehearsing and Performing every year since then.

Rehearsal Details: We rehearse every Tuesday evening at 7:45 PM. (NOTE: No rehearsal on Oct. 12, 2010)

There is no requirement to audition. Reading music is helpful, but if you don't read music, bring a recording device. (That's what I did for 2 years!)

Interested in Learning Mandolin?

Finding a mandolin instructor who will teach the American/Classical method is not easy. There are less than half a dozen in the Greater Washington DC area. The Mandoleers have two teachers who MAY be able to take on more students. Each of them will have to respond individually as to their availability. Please visit Lesson Details
